Navigating Modules
In Version 7.0, the user navigates through the various applications of RTM by using the new side bar tabs. Clicking these tabs will make options available to that module in the RTM tools tab at the top of the interface.
Model-Model – is the main application where the model is prepared for manufacturing – models are generated, holes deactivated, models compared and circles detected, to name a few options.
3D Milling – is the new enhanced 3D manager application with updated icons, toolbars and options.
Drilling – previously the Drill Manager is now, in Version 7.0, the Drilling application. Same powerful tools and options as in RTM 6.0, but now redesigned with RTM 7.0 enhancements.
Pocketing - previously the Pocket Manager is now, in Version 7.0, the Pockets application. Same powerful tools and options as in RTM 6.0, but now redesigned with RTM 7.0 enhancements.
CAD – is still the powerful standalone CAD application that RTM is known for with enhanced icons and menus making CAD design easier than before.
The programmer can move easily from one module to another by using the side bar tabs. Each tab will contain specific options and interface panels. In the upcoming sessions we will go over all the interface enhancements as well as all of the options available.
Helpful Hint: Module Tabs and interfaces have been designed to be very efficient and user friendly. Keep in mind to make navigating even more efficient, any of the commonly used options can be added to the quick access toolbar.
