Rotating, Pan, and Zoom Options

Visually working with the model can be done very easily by using keyboard and mouse combinations. With various options available in the Display tab make rotating the model more user friendly.

Mouse Controls

To Rotate the model, hold Ctrl and the left mouse button. Rotate options can be used to determine where the center of rotation will be located. See below for those options.


To Pan or move the Model around in the display panel hold the Ctrl and the right mouse button.



For Zooming in and out 2 options can be used: holding both right and left mouse buttons and the Ctrl button then move the mouse up and down will Zoom in and Out. The other option if a mouse wheel is available is to scroll the wheel to zoom in and out. The wheel option will zoom into where the cursor is located on the model.

Zooming the model can also be done by the default keyboard shortcuts:

F1 is used to zoom in by using a window

F2 is used to Zoom Back

Alt + F1 is used to fit the Model in the display panel window.


Center of Rotation Options - there are options available under the Display Tab to control the Anchor Point in the display panel.

Absolute - uses the center of the original axis system.

Model Center - uses the center of the Model as the anchor point.

Screen Center - uses the center of the current display panel as the anchor point.

Selected Center - gives the option to choose the anchor point by selecting a point on the model.

Mouse Center - uses the last mouse location as the anchor point.
