Drilling Quick Start
Opening RTM
You can either: - Import a new model - Load an existing RTM file

Importing a Model
• “Iges” is the Default file that Lemoine imports
• Ensure the proper translator license (CrossCadware.dll) is installed if purchased.
• Choose Import > select file > click OK.
• For example: use 3d-2d_example.igs from C:\Program Files (x86)\Lemoine Technologies\Rtm Version 7\Translator Sample Files
• When prompted by the pop-up balloon, select the Task Manager.

Displaying the Model
• In Task Manager, when status shows “Done,” click Result.

• Click Go in the Task Result window.

• Your model should now be visible.

Graphically Rotating the Model
• Ctrl + Left Mouse: Rotate around mouse point (visual only)
• Ctrl + Right Mouse: Pan the model
• Mouse Wheel: Zoom in/out
• Alt + F1: Center the model
• F1: Zoom into a windowed area
• F2: Zoom out incrementally
Creating a Setup
• Go to the desired manager (Drill Manager for this example)
• Confirm correct machine selection in the lower left corner

• Click Setup > Create Setup

• Select the Table Face of the model that sits on the machine table

• Select Origin Point (X0, Y0, Z0) using your mouse and confirm

Creating a Pattern
• Select the hole to be drilled

• Highlight all related diameters and Z values
• Right-click > Create Pattern
• Avoid selecting holes needing drilled from the opposite side

1. Name the pattern
2. Select Pattern Type
3. Click Save then Close
Drilling a Hole with a Macro
• Right-click the Tagged pattern in the tree

• Select Drill
• Choose desired operations (e.g., Gundrill, Tap)

• Fill in operation parameters (diameter, depth, feeds/speeds, etc.)
• Click OK to save
Once drilled, the status changes from Tagged to Drilled, and a mill file is generated.

Posting a File
• Highlight the completed file
• Right-click > Post

• If using an ATC, the ATC Manager screen will appear

o Confirm tool locations
o Click OK
• Choose your save location when prompted

• Your new posted file will be saved to the selected folder
