How to Install a Lemoine Floating Network License

Preparation

o Ensure the Lemoine software is installed on the computer that will serve as the server for the new Lemoine Network License.
o Verify that the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Lemoine Technologies\Rtm Version 7\Network License Server exists on the server computer. If this folder does not exist, please contact your Lemoine agent to obtain it.


Shortcut Creation

o Locate the executable file inside the C:\Program Files (x86)\Lemoine Technologies\Rtm Version 7\Network License Server folder.
o Create a shortcut to this executable on the desktop of the server computer.
o You will now see the shortcut icon on the desktop.

Generate and Submit CMP.VKC File

o Inside the Network License Server folder, right-click the executable
and select “Run as Administrator.” This will create a CMP.VKC file.
o Email the CMP.VKC file to your Lemoine agent so they can generate a new network license.

Install the New Network License

o Once the Lemoine agent returns the new network license, copy the new VKC file into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Lemoine Technologies\Rtm Version 7\Network License folder.

License Monitor Setup

o Right-click the shortcut you created on the desktop and select “Run as Administrator.”
o When the Key Database window opens, select “Install Keys.”

Service Installation and Startup

o In the RTM License Monitor, right-click on the Services icon and select “Install Keys.”


o Once installed, right-click on Services again and select “Start Services.”


Environment Variables Setup

o Open Windows Explorer, right-click on “This PC,”
and select “Properties.”
o Click “Advanced System Settings” and then select “Environment Variables.”


o Create a “New…” System Variable:


 Variable name: SFK_LICHOST
 Variable value: [Server Name]
 Click “OK.”

Note: This step must be repeated on each Lemoine workstation that will use the Network License.


Update Lemoine Shortcut Properties

o Locate the RTM shortcut on each workstation's desktop.
o Right-click the shortcut and choose “Properties.”
o In the “Target” field, go to the end of the path and add /K(Code goes here).
o Code will be located in the SfkLic_Monitor.exe shortcut located on the desktop.



Note: This step must also be repeated for each Lemoine workstation.


Configure RTM Software

o Open the RTM BAR and select the “Config” icon.

o Once the configuration window opens, press Ctrl+F12 to open the “Private” tab.
o Change the “Protection Key” setting to RTMNETWORK and click “OK.”

Note: This configuration must be done on each Lemoine workstation.
