How to Copy Lemoine Software from an Old Computer to a New Computer Using RTMNETWORK Database and Licensing
1. Locate the software on the old computer in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lemoine Technologies.
2. Copy the Lemoine Technologies folder to a drive accessible from the new computer (e.g., server or USB key).
3. Copy the 7_XX folder and Config file from:
C:\Users\Public\AppData\Lemoine\Rtm. Place them on the desktop of the new computer (you will need these in step 11 below).
4. Copy the Lemoine Technologies folder to the new computer and place it in the same directory:
C:\Program Files (x86).
5. Once copied, right-click the folder, go to Properties > Security, and grant the user Full Control over this folder.
6. Navigate to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lemoine Technologies\Rtm Version 7 and find RTMBAR.exe. Create a shortcut on the desktop. (Alternatively, you can copy the old RTMBAR shortcut from the old computer, if accessible.)
Note: This step is not needed if you already copied the shortcut from the old computer.
7. With the new shortcut on the desktop, right-click and configure the KEY access. Ensure the command includes /K before the code. Then select Apply.
8. Set up a new Environment Variable:
- Go to System Properties.
- Click Environment Variables (button at the bottom).
- Create a New System Variable.
- Click OK to confirm.
9. Open RTMBAR.exe, select the Config icon, and once it opens, close it.
This will create a folder to host the 7_XX and Config files.
10. Go to:
C:\Users\Public\AppData\Lemoine\Rtm and copy the 7_XX and Config files from the desktop (from step 3) into this folder.
11. Ensure the user has Read/Write = Full Control over the following folders:
- C:\Users\Public\AppData\Lemoine\RTM
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Lemoine Technologies
12. On the desktop, open RTMBAR and select the Config button.
13. In the Database tab:
- Confirm the Host Name is correct.
- Ensure the status reads Services Running.
- If not, uncheck Use Database and adjust the settings accordingly.
- Click OK.
14. Reboot the computer.
After rebooting, the new computer should be able to run the Lemoine software using the network license and the network database.
